About Her Space
We provide evidence-based psychological treatment and ADHD diagnostic assessments exclusively for adult women.
We are passionate about supporting women to live well, with insight, self-compassion and clear intention.
Our therapeutic approach is integrative, strengths-based and person-centered.
We seek to understand each woman deeply. With openness and curiosity, we explore her experiences, how she sees herself, how she relates to others and how she makes sense of Her world.
At Her Space, treatment is tailored to each woman’s individual needs, preferences and goals. Our work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and informed by contemporary CBT approaches.
We bring genuine care, compassion and collaboration to the therapeutic relationship, and welcome honest feedback throughout the process.
Our aim is for every woman who comes to Her Space to feel safe, respected and genuinely understood.
Who We Work With
Her Space supports adult women experiencing psychological difficulties that affect their mental health, wellbeing, relationships, sense of self or capacity to live the life they want. Women often seek support when they are experiencing:
Anxiety — when worry or overthinking interferes with daily life
Stress — when demands exceed your capacity and it feels difficult to switch off
Low mood — when you feel flat, disconnected or struggle to find motivation
Burnout — when you have carried too much for too long and feel exhausted
Fears and phobias — when fear or avoidance limits how you live your life
Body image — when concerns about your body affect how you feel or live
Self-worth — when self-doubt or self-criticism undermines your confidence
Relationships — when you want healthier, more fulfilling connections
Life transitions — when change brings uncertainty, unease or overwhelm
Neurodivergence — when everyday ‘neurotypical’ demands feel overwhelming
Perimenopause — when hormonal changes affect mood, anxiety, sleep, confidence or sense of wellbeing and you're finding it difficult to adjust
At Her Space, we offer compassionate, evidence-based support for women navigating these experiences.
ADHD Assessment:
We provide comprehensive ADHD diagnostic assessments and treatment plans to support women understand themselves better, and devise strategies to improve their daily functioning and overall sense of wellbeing.
Important note: Psychologists cannot prescribe ADHD medication.
Common Questions
You don't have to have a diagnosis or be in crisis to seek support. You may feel that something isn't working, that you've become stuck in familiar patterns, disconnected from yourself, or ready for something to change. An initial consultation provides an opportunity to determine if psychological therapy is right for you before you commit to anything.
No. You can make an appointment privately without a GP referral or Mental Health Treatment Plan. If you have a Mental Health Treatment Plan you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate. Discuss with your GP whether a plan is appropriate for you. Self-referral is appropriate for treatment and ADHD assessment.
Therapy is a collaborative process. Together we will work to understand what is happening for you, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop strategies to support meaningful and lasting change.
Yes. However, there are some circumstances in which confidentiality may be limited, such as where there is a serious and imminent risk of harm or where disclosure is otherwise required by law. These limits will be explained fully during your initial consultation.
There is no set number of sessions. Some women may benefit from a relatively brief course of therapy, whilst others may need longer-term support. We will review your progress and decide what's best for you.
Yes! We conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments for ADHD. We do not offer formal Autism assessments but can complete screening to inform therapy.
Psychological therapy can support women who are exploring neurodivergence, have an existing diagnosis, or are experiencing difficulties that may be associated with neurodivergent ways of thinking, feeling and experiencing the world.
ADHD assessments are conducted over multiple sessions and cost $1,485. The assessments process can be spread out over a period of weeks, to support payment by instalment. (e.g. 6 x $247.50 over 6-12 weeks).
Appointments can be booked online through the Her Space Psychology booking system (Halaxy).
If you are still unsure if therapy is right for you, please book a New Client Intro phone call (free) and we can figure it out together.
The first appointment is an opportunity to get to know one another, for me to gain an understanding of your current concerns and for us to explore your goals for treatment together. You may be asked to complete some simple questionnaires to gather information regarding your mental health and wellbeing.
Most importantly, the first appointment is an opportunity for you to decide if Her Space is the right fit for you.
Yes. We offer a secure platform for telehealth appointments.
We ask that you give as much notices as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. You are welcome to switch to telehealth if you are unable to attend in person.
If you cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours' notice, a $100 cancellation fee will be charged. Cancellation fees cannot be claimed through Medicare or private health insurance.
Her Space will waive the cancellation fee if the appointment can be filled by another client, or in a genuine emergency. Please speak to your psychologist.
Finding the right psychologist is important. If your needs fall outside the scope of what Her Space Psychology offers, or if another service or treatment approach is likely to be more appropriate, we will discuss this with you. Where possible, appropriate referral options will be provided.
